Chrysopal with white Kaolinite (Indonesia) Chrysopal is a transition mineral between Chrysoprase and Opal and is also known as Green Opal, Green Apple Opal, Chrysoprase Opal, Prase Opal, and Blue-Green Opal. Kaolinite is a clay mineral. It is a layered silicate mineral, with one tetrahedral sheet of silica linked through oxygen atoms to one octahedral sheet of alumina. Kaolinite is a soft, earthy, usually white, mineral, produced by the chemical weathering of aluminium silicate minerals l ike feldspar. The miners I received this product from are actually nickel miners.
